The NDT Sweeper is a highly versatile manual 2D encoded scanner that is ideal for quickly performing ultrasonic flaw detection tests. This scanner is designed to be applicable to both flat and curved surfaces, making it practically possible to use it as a substitute for various types of dedicated XY scanners. It is suitable for a wide range of inspection applications, such as mapping weld joints along the longitudinal direction and material corrosion. Thanks to its compact design, lightweight, and ergonomic shape, data collection in inspection locations where the installation of robust equipment like automatic UT scanners is difficult can be easily carried out. Unlike conventional wheel probes, it follows the scanning in both XY axes, eliminating the need to draw scanning (index) lines on the test specimen surface.
